While a growing number of software developers are implementing the MPE protocol, for the programs that were built with a keyboard or pad controller in mind, the Jamstik can swap into single-channel MIDI mode, which behaves more like a simple keyboard. The song ‘Staple It Together’ is probably his most famous and it features awesome one of the best acoustic guitar solos. It's a more natural playing experience catering to the guitar controller, and also enables styles like palm mute to be recognized and synthesized in a way that makes sense and feels natural. Jack Johnson was a singer/songwriter that had an incredibly large amount of success in the 2000s. This can be used to control the loudness and/or brightness of the synth voices so they decay along with your guitar strings. This program, which allows you to input tablature for many stringed and other acoustic instruments and to print it out, as well as play it through your computer's speakers and to export it as a Midi File, can be obtained in Demo form for freeat TablEdit. The Jamstik Studio also tracks the intensity of each string's vibration over time. All of the acoustic guitar Tablature shown below is in TablEditformat. Paired with a compatible sound generator, this means that the performance on one string does not affect the others, allowing for greater control over the sound and a more natural response from the sound generator. In MPE mode, each string of the Jamstik Studio controls a different MIDI channel-including MIDI notes, pitch bend, and importantly, expression information. The Jamstik was built as an MPE-capable controller, which helps immensely with achieving realistic guitar performance expression.
